Chaos is Essential for Startup Ecosystems
Building and developing a startup ecosystem requires not only “order” but also creative chaos.
This session will discuss the importance of “chaos” in creating new value by breaking out of the existing structure and framework, and how to realize it from various perspectives with actual examples. You will understand deeply the essence of the ecosystem and the actions necessary for its development through this session.

After graduating from university, I worked at a materials manufacturer, where I was responsible for product development and quality assurance. In 2015, I joined the City of Nagoya, where I supported the creation of innovation for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Since 2020, I have been responsible for startup support, contributing to the launch of the Central Japan Startup Ecosystem Consortium as part of the development of a regional startup ecosystem.In 2023, I am seconded to the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan, Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, where I am responsible for promoting the Startup Ecosystem City Project and promotion of public procurement for startups.

I worked as a MR for a pharmaceutical company, a sales representative for a major advertising agency, and a manager for a foreign advertising agency before becoming a founding member of a micro-mobility startup as its business development manager. In 2022, I was appointed to the position of Chief of Sapporo Startup Promotion Section, where I launched the “STARTUP HOKKAIDO Executive Committee,” an all-Hokkaido startup support organization, and opened “Social Hall Young” on the top floor of City Hall as a space for startups and their supporters to interact.
