He works to create and guide strategic emerging technology opportunities, and has consulted and helped create many companies.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He lectures internationally on innovation\/invention, design, AI, and User eXperience.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ted has been a professor at CMU, MIT Media Lab, Stanford, and has held positions at several other universities. He has also worked in industrial research, was an IBM Fellow (best known for inventing the ThinkPad TrackPoint), and worked at Amazon, Atari, Magic Leap, and Xerox PARC.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ted\u2019s innovations have contributed to products ranging from medical devices to notebook computers to operating systems. His work has resulted in numerous awards, patents, and papers, and has often been featured in the national and international press.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Research Fellow,
