Mr. Ide joined Shizuoka Bank in April 2007. After working at a sales branch and being transferred to a regional think tank, he is currently assigned to the Regional Revitalization Department, where he is in charge of planning and managing “TECH BEAT Shizuoka,” an open innovation program that connects local companies and startups. In addition to his work, he is committed to supporting innovators with the aim of creating an environment where the region is full of challengers and where innovation is created one after another.

Joined the Shizuoka Prefectural Government in 2004. Engaged in promoting Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport and supporting the overseas expansion of local companies. Seconded to the Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism from 2009 to 2011, and to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) from 2016 to 2018. At JETRO, supported the local expansion of Japanese companies at the Hanoi office. Since 2022, has been responsible for managing the TECH BEAT Shizuoka Secretariat and the prefecture-operated innovation hub "SHIP" (Shizuoka Innovation Platform) in the Industrial Innovation Promotion Division.

As the Marketing Director, I was responsible for PR, Marketing and business development for the Customer Data Platform in the digital marketing field. In August 2021, I co-founded Carbide Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley and Tokyo, with fellow founding members of Treasure Data. We invest in startups, primarily in the U.S. and Japan, focusing on enterprise SaaS and are committed to enhancing the value of these startups.
