Startup conferences are important venues for entrepreneurs and innovators to gather and network across regions and countries. This session will discuss ways to collaborate and challenges to further boost startup conferences across the country.
The themes are “How to create synergies among events,” “How to engage the community,” and “How to evolve the value of the conference. The session will provide a opportunity for event professionals from across the country to share a common vision and explore future-oriented conference management.

After graduating from university, they worked at a private company before joining a private think tank. For the next 10 years, they were engaged in policy planning for municipalities in Hokkaido and managing regional revitalization projects. Subsequently, they moved to a community development company closer to on-the-ground operations, where they planned and managed regional revitalization and local human resource development projects. In 2016, they were involved in research related to the Sapporo International Short Film Festival, one of the predecessors of NoMaps. This experience led them to join NoMaps from its inception, serving as a coordinator for projects involving diverse stakeholders from industry, government, and academia. They have been in their current position since April 2017.

Joined Aichi Prefectural Government as a new graduate in 2016. After working in the Construction Department and the Board of Education, I was seconded to NTT Business Solutions. At my secondment, I was responsible for developing new business areas and received the President's Award for establishing and expanding a new business related to My Number cards. Since April 2023, I have been involved in the Startup Promotion Division, where I am working on the operation of STATION Ai, scheduled to open in October 2024, and the launch of TechGALA, Japan's largest global startup conference, "Technology Festival for a Sustainable Future", scheduled for February 4-6, 2025.
