Farhan Firdaus

Farhan is a Partner at Meet Ventures. Meet Ventures is an early stage Venture Capital (VC) firm and Growth Advisory Firm focused on Southeast Asia, with offices in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. An experienced industry professional with more than 10 years of relevant experience, Farhan was Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a healthcare group that is now the largest dental services group by geography in Southeast Asia, with more than 60 clinics in the region – he joined as a Top Exec when the group was just a startup with 2 to 3 clinics and played a significant role with business expansion in the early years. He was also Group Head for an Investment Holding company that built one of the tallest skyscrapers in Cambodia. Farhan has spent the last 10 years building and growing startups in numerous capacities and has a demonstrated history in deal sourcing and value creation. He also sits on the Investment Committee (IC) at Antler Malaysia and is on the Recruitment Panel for SMU IIE’s Incubator. He was the Domain Finals Judge for SLINGSHOT from 2022-2024 – Asia’s premier deep tech startup pitching competition and he has guest lectured at leading global universities including University of Cambridge, ESSEC Business School, University of Adelaide, National University of Ireland, NUS, NTU and SMU. Farhan serves on numerous government and non-governmental organisations. He has served as an adviser to the ASEAN Foundation Digital Literacy Youth Advisory Group. He is also an advisory committee member of a government statutory board, Singapore Polytechnic Business School and has served on the committees of several government agencies including Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth (MCCY) and the National Youth Council (NYC). Farhan was recognized as an Outstanding Young Singaporean with the Ten Outstanding Young Person Singapore Merit Award and the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award by the Nanyang Technological University. He was also recognized for being an emerging thought leader in the development of startups and new ventures as an EUVP Fellow by the European Union and as an IVLP Fellow by the US Department of State. He was also appointed as a COG Fellow by Singapore’s National Volunteer Philanthropic Council. He is a past scholarship recipient of the Chua Thian Poh Scholarship from Singaporean Billionaire and Philanthropist Dr. Chua Thian Poh and was also recipient of a Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship and the Lee Kuan Yew Model Student Award.
