SENDAI TOHOKU STARTUP ECOSYSTEM CONSORTIUM

The Sendai Tohoku Startup Ecosystem Consortium supports the creation and growth of startups taking on global challenges from Tohoku. Its strengths include research results from Tohoku University and other universities, demonstration fields in a region at the forefront of social challenges, and a network of industry, academia, government and financial institutions across the Tohoku region. Under its vision, “Social Innovation for Global Impact from TOHOKU,” the consortium focuses on supporting impact startups that aim to solve social issues and deep-tech startups that leverage university technologies. Through support for global expansion, talent development and business growth, it is working to build a sustainable startup ecosystem.
