Ryo Tsuchiya

My career began in particle physics and has since expanded across intellectual property, business development, and venture capital. At Idemitsu Kosan, I worked on IP strategy for organic EL technologies before contributing to business planning, supply chain development, and organizational setup for an all-solid-state battery project. At UMI, I invested in materials and chemical startups while supporting portfolio companies in developing their IP strategies. I am currently leading an initiative at Asahi Kasei to leverage the company’s intangible assets, including technologies and intellectual property, to drive technology licensing.
