In food manufacturing, rapid and accurate testing is essential to prevent contamination by food allergens and foodborne pathogens. However, conventional testing methods are often time-consuming, costly, and require specialized skills. This project aims to commercialize a compact, fully automated genetic testing system that integrates our proprietary centrifugal microfluidic technology with loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), enabling simultaneous testing of multiple samples for multiple targets. By providing rapid, simple, and cost-effective on-site testing for food manufacturers, catering services, and food service industries, we aim to improve food safety and enhance quality control. In the future, we also plan to expand this technology to multiplexed testing for viral infections in healthcare and rapid detection of diseases in agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture.
