Yuka Tanimoto

After working at a securities company and serving as a financial and economic anchor for Bloomberg TV, Yuka Tanimoto earned an MBA in the United States. She later joined Nikkei CNBC as a caster, becoming the network’s first female commentator. Throughout her career, she has interviewed over 4,000 VIPs, including Starbucks founder Howard Schultz and Audrey Tang, Digital Minister of Taiwan. Currently, she makes numerous television appearances, including her role as a regular economic commentator on TOKYO MX’s “Hori Jun Live Junction.” She also serves on various government-related judging and selection committees, such as the Selection Committee for the Cabinet Office’s Japan Open Innovation Prize and the Peer Review Committee for the Cabinet Office’s Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP). She joined Forbes JAPAN in February 2016 and assumed her current position on January 1, 2022.
