At Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), Umezawa has led the launch and growth of CIC Tokyo, CIC Fukuoka, and O-Nexus in Osaka—some of Japan’s largest startup innovation hubs—as part of CIC, a company originating in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Collectively, these three startup centers host approximately 600 companies and serve as major innovation hubs across life sciences, climate tech, and other emerging sectors.
