The Setouchi Startup Consortium is a regional partnership between Ehime and Okayama dedicated to fostering startup growth across the Setouchi area. It has been selected as a Phase II Startup Ecosystem Hub by the Japanese government.
By leveraging the unique characteristics of the Setouchi region—an expansive “social demonstration field” rich in diverse natural resources and industries—the consortium enables municipalities to collaborate and deliver wide-area support. Through this coordinated framework, it aims to cultivate a startup culture originating in Ehime and Okayama and expand that culture throughout the broader Setouchi region.
As an open ecosystem that continuously generates innovation, the consortium is committed to nurturing new industries and talent emerging from Setouchi.
