The Osaka,Kyoto,and Hyogo/Kobe Consortium brings together universities, research institutions, companies, local governments, and other key stakeholders across the three regions to foster an integrated environment for startup creation and growth.
The Kansai region, centered around the Keihanshin area, is home to a strong concentration of universities, research institutions, and industry clusters with outstanding research capabilities in three key fields: Bio & Life Sciences, Greentech, and Digital. With this strong foundation, the region holds significant potential for the growth of deep-tech startups, and promotes its strengths both in Japan and internationally under the banner of “Deep Tech Frontier KANSAI.”
Going forward, the Consortium will continue to strengthen these three priority areas with the aim of building a globally competitive startup ecosystem.
