Tamaki engages in research and business development for BodySharing®︎ technologies that transmit bodily sensations between humans and computers to enable shared experiences. She founded H2L, Inc. in 2012. She has released a series of BodySharing-related interfaces and research results, including PossessedHand, UnlimitedHand, FirstVR, and CapsuleInterface.
Her work received the award for the most highly recommended paper at the 2020 international conference Augmented Human. She also serves as Sub-Program Director for the Virtual Economy project under the Japanese Cabinet Office, METI, and NEDO SIP Phase 3, as well as a member of the GI Project Committee of the METI Industrial Structure Council. She is a board expert for Generative AI Japan.
