The purpose of this project is the development of novel photosensitizing agents for photodynamic therapy, a less-invasive cancer treatment. By creating highly cancer-selective agents that specifically target cancers that are difficult to treat with conventional drugs, we intend to commercialize the product primarily through licensing agreements with pharmaceutical companies.
