Two people who have each lived through a serious injury—Hiromi Okuda and DOZAN11 (Dozan Miki)—will leave the stage together with participants and head out into the city. Their destination: the TechGALA monument somewhere in the streets.
The two will keep the session going as they walk. Walking together, thinking together. Taking in the city lights with their eyes. If it rains, savoring the sound of the rain. Smelling the grass. Feeling the wind. Stopping still. Walking, feeling, talking—all of it is this session. Now that AI and technology let us do so much without moving our bodies, what will become of our bodies from here? Each of them will share their thoughts on exactly that.
For about 20 minutes, we walk the city—each with their own body, at their own pace. The goal is not to reach the monument. So that people in a wide range of physical conditions can take part, volunteer physical trainers and a public health nurse will accompany us.
Then we bring our bodies back to the session venue. With bodies that have walked the city, participants join in and we talk once more. Stage and street. The digital and the body. Speaking and feeling. When we actually cross those boundaries, what will we come to see? And after all—does a conference truly need a “stage” at all?
