Tadashi Kadowaki received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1999. While a graduate student, he co-proposed quantum annealing with Professor Hidetoshi Nishimori. After developing FPGAs at ROHM, he conducted bioinformatics research at a biotechnology startup and Kyoto University. He subsequently worked on AI-driven drug discovery at Eisai before joining DENSO in 2018. In 2023, he was seconded to AIST G-QuAT, where he conducts research in quantum computing and AI.
