We are developing antimicrobial products for the wound dressing market by providing a technology that reduces the risk of surgical site infections (SSIs) using hydrogels equipped with nanopillars that physically destroy bacterial cells. This technology avoids metal allergies, prevents the induction of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and reduces environmental impact—issues that were difficult to achieve with conventional wound dressings—and aims to create a society where people can receive treatment without worrying about SSIs.
